About Us
In 1998, Siegfried Osmers founded a safari company named Dalerwa Ventures for Wildlife, initially offering local sightseeing and photographic safaris in South Africa. Over the years, the company expanded to include overland safaris in neighbouring African countries, mainly catering to international tourists interested in photography and sightseeing. In 2001, Siegfried, hailing from from a hunting family, acquired his Professional Hunters qualifications, prompting a shift in the company’s focus towards Hunting Safaris. In 2019, his son Zandré, who shares his passion for hunting and conservation, joined the company full-time.
After overcoming the challenges brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic, which significantly affected international tourism, the decision was made to rebrand the company to better reflect its core identity as an Africa Hunting Safari Company.
In 2022, Greater Africa Safaris (Pty) Ltd. was launched, with Siegfried and Zandré at the helm as co-owners of the safari company. Siegfried, an experienced and licenced Hunting Outfitter, assumes the role of lead Professional Hunter, spearheading hunting activities, client interactions, and marketing initiatives. Zandré takes charge of operational, logistical, and financial matters, and also provide on-the-ground support for clients and hunting endeavors. Together, their combined expertise and passion drive the success and growth of Greater Africa Safaris, ensuring unparalleled experiences for all who seek adventure in the African wilderness.

Siegfried Osmers, was born and raised on a farm near Tzaneen, a town in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. Growing up in a family deeply rooted in hunting and conservation, he has accumulated over 30 years of experience in the Conservation and Safari industry. Currently he serves as a licensed Hunting Outfitter and Professional Hunter on a full-time basis. Throughout his career, he has successfully guided numerous rifle and bow hunts for clients, hunting both plains and dangerous game. With extensive knowledge of African fauna and flora, he has gained expertise in hunting various game species in Africa, both through guiding clients and his own personal hunting experience.
Zandré Osmers was born into a family of hunting and conservation. He grew up in the picturesque Hoedspruit area of the Limpopo Province of South-Africa, a well-known hunting and tourism destination of the Lowveld. He has an avid interest in wildlife and conservation and worked along with is parents from a very young age. Zandré has a deep-rooted knowledge of the African wildlife and is an exceptional hunter with both bow and rifle. He accompanied his dad on hunts since he was 3-years old and hunted his first impala at aged 7. He frequently accompanied his father on dangerous game hunts and is the operational manager and co-owner of the company, passionately living his dream.
